  • Welcome to the e-Management Market demonstration site! This site presents a Lessons Learned Request for Information (RFI) technique using a market strategy. War Fighting and DOTMLPF submarkets are available.  Another submarket is available for the International Lessons Learned Community of Practice to exchange information and knowledge.

In this demonstration, knowledge and information requestors post RFIs.  The Lessons Learned community of practice can review and respond to the RFIs in the portal environment.  The requestor rewards accepted responses with points and feedback.  These responses may become part of the Knowledge Repository (not present in this demo) to be viewed and commented on by other Lessons Learned community participants.

The organization and community then recognize and reward the activities in the portal based on the summary of transactions during a period of performance.  The Lessons Learned community determines the recognition appropriate for the contributions of the participants and the organizations they represent.  Notice the list of contributor scores on the right panel of this page.

If you would like to post or respond to requests, simply register your organization and then as an individual representing your organization.  Or, just register to represent an organization listed, they are not real and this is for demonstration only. Click the registration link.

This RFI strategy provides the following advantages to the Lessons Learned community:

    • Self-synchronize knowledge management linking community participants
    • Empower knowledge users throughout the entire community
    • Calculate demand-based market values
    • Extend trusted social networks with recorded contributions, scores, & feedback
    • Motivate & institutionalize contribution behavior by answering "what is in it for me?'
    • Provide indicators of knowledge management success and gaps to unanswered queries

Click on the links in the middle of the page or the sub-markets to the right to review or respond to current RFIs, review a list of participant organizations and individuals, or review your personal transactions and feedback summaries. Back to main demo page.

To better understand how this method works, or to apply this management strategy to your organization or community, review a copy of e-Management Markets.  This book is a "how to" manual that walks through the development of an e-Management Market step by step and explains how and why the strategy works.  The book is also available from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.  Click here to see a copy of the article Build it.  Will they come?  published in the October 2007 International Lessons Learned Journal.

You may request a demonstration of an E-Management Market applied to your organization or community of practice. Request Demonstration
